Death toll rises to 29 in Istanbul nightclub fire
At least 29 people were killed in a fire that broke out Tuesday in a nightclub located in the Beşiktaş district of Istanbul, according to the Istanbul Governorship.
The cause of the fire remains unknown. It erupted in a building on Gündoğdu Street in Gayrettepe Yıldız Posta Avenue.
Emergency responders, including fire crews, medical personnel, and police, were dispatched to the scene upon notification. Firefighters battled the blaze with 31 vehicles and 86 personnel.
The injured were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment. Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire. (ILKHA)
