In Rafah city, southern Gaza, the Civil Defence teams retrieved six bodies and rescued several casualties from the debris of a house belonging to the Zurub family, which was targeted and destroyed by an Israeli airstrike. Among the victims were two children.

Meanwhile, in Khan Younes, several more Palestinians were killed and wounded as Israeli bombardments struck multiple houses in the eastern and central areas of the city.

The city of Deir al-Balah also faced heavy Israeli airstrikes, with al-Bashir Mosque being targeted, resulting in several casualties, including children, and causing significant damage to nearby residences.

Further north, in Gaza City, Israeli missiles struck two houses in the al-Zaytoun neighborhood, while artillery shelling hit the Tal al-Hawa and Sheikh Ijlin neighborhoods, resulting in three deaths and six injuries.

The ongoing violence has pushed the total death toll in Gaza to 32,845 people, predominantly children and women, with 75,392 others injured since the onset of the Israeli aggression on October 7. Many remain trapped under rubble or displaced from their homes.

The escalation of Israeli attacks in Gaza continues to exact a heavy toll on civilian lives, with children and women bearing the brunt of the violence. The international community faces mounting pressure to intervene and bring an end to the bloodshed in the besieged enclave. (ILKHA)
