Haneyya and Nakhala meet in Tehran, discuss situation in Gaza
Head of Hamas’s political bureau Ismail Haneyya met on Friday with secretary-general of Islamic Jihad Ziyad an-Nakhala in the Iranian capital, Tehran, and discussed with him the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip and the political and field developments related to the Israeli aggression.
During the meeting, Haneyya and Nakhala discussed the mediation efforts to stop the war on Gaza and highlighted the need for the Israeli occupation army to stop its aggression and withdraw from Gaza before exchanging prisoners.
The Hamas and Islamic Jihad leaders also stressed that the displaced families and civilians must return to their areas without restrictions and obtain their humanitarian needs as part of any ceasefire and prisoner swap deal.
The two leaders talked about the Israeli violations and crimes taking place in Jerusalem and the West Bank, and agreed on the need to escalate all forms of resistance against the Israeli occupation across the occupied Palestinian territories.
They applauded the supportive resistance operations on multiple fronts in Yemen, Iraq and southern Lebanon, expressing their belief that the Palestinian people are not alone in facing the occupation and its allies. (ILKHA)
