The Gaza Strip has been plunged into further chaos as the death toll continues to rise, with reports from the health ministry indicating that at least 62 civilians have been killed and over 91 others injured in a series of Israeli airstrikes over the past 24 hours. The strikes have resulted in widespread destruction, with many victims still trapped under the rubble of collapsed buildings.

In a statement released on Thursday, the health ministry revealed that the Israeli occupation army carried out eight separate massacres in various areas of Gaza, targeting residential neighborhoods and infrastructure. While the actual number of casualties is believed to be higher, only 153 individuals, including 62 fatalities, were able to be transported to hospitals for treatment.

The ongoing bombardment, which began on October 7 following a cross-border operation by Hamas's armed wing, al-Qassam Brigades, has further exacerbated the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. The death toll from the violence has now surged to a staggering 32,552 martyrs, with an additional 74,980 people wounded since the conflict erupted.

In addition to the staggering loss of life and widespread injuries, the Gaza Strip is grappling with acute shortages of basic necessities such as food, fuel, water, and medical supplies. The tight Israeli blockade and extensive damage to infrastructure and facilities have exacerbated the dire situation for the 2.3 million residents of Gaza, leaving many without access to vital resources.

As the violence escalates and the humanitarian crisis deepens, calls for an immediate cessation of hostilities and urgent international intervention to address the plight of Gaza's civilian population are growing louder. (ILKHA)
