HÜDA PAR leader urges international support for Gaza, emphasizes humanitarian crisis
Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu, the chairman of HÜDA PAR, embarked on a comprehensive series of engagements and interactions in Adana as part of his ongoing efforts leading up to the upcoming local elections.
Accompanied by HÜDA PAR Metropolitan Municipality Mayoral candidate for Adana, Salih Demir, and other party members, Yapıcıoğlu conducted a visit to the vibrant Melek Girmez Bazaar situated in Seyhan, Adana's central district.
Addressing the crowd gathered at the bazaar, Yapıcıoğlu emphasized the significance of connecting with local traders and residents to better understand their needs and concerns. "We are here today not only to campaign but also to listen attentively to the voices of our fellow citizens," he declared. "Your concerns matter to us, and it is our duty to ensure that they are addressed."
Throughout the visit, Yapıcıoğlu engaged in constructive dialogues with business owners, listening to their challenges and presenting the party's proposals aimed at revitalizing the local economy and addressing the issues faced by small businesses.
In addition to interacting with the business community, Yapıcıoğlu took the opportunity to extend heartfelt Ramadan greetings to the residents of Adana, fostering a spirit of solidarity and unity during the holy month.
"As we observe the blessed month of Ramadan, let us remember the importance of compassion and empathy towards one another. May this month bring peace, prosperity, and unity to our community,” Yapıcıoğlu remarked.
Later in the day, Yapıcıoğlu participated in a live television broadcast on a local channel, where he discussed key issues affecting the city and outlined HÜDA PAR's vision for Adana's future. During the broadcast, he emphasized the party's commitment to inclusive governance and community-driven initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life for all residents.
Following the broadcast, Yapıcıoğlu visited the historic Haznevi Dervish Lodge, highlighting the importance of preserving cultural heritage and religious traditions amidst modernization.
"As we embrace progress, we must also preserve the rich tapestry of our cultural heritage. Our traditions and values are integral to our identity, and we must safeguard them for future generations," Yapıcıoğlu emphasized.
In the evening, Yapıcıoğlu attended an iftar dinner with representatives from various non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and community leaders in Adana. During the gathering, he expressed deep concern about the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza and called for urgent international action to address the plight of innocent civilians affected by the conflict.
"The situation in Gaza demands our immediate attention and solidarity," Yapıcıoğlu asserted. "As members of the global community, we cannot remain silent in the face of such suffering. It is incumbent upon us to stand up for justice and humanity."
In his concluding remarks, Yapıcıoğlu reiterated the importance of prioritizing service-oriented policies and community-driven initiatives in the upcoming local elections.
