The Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) report showed a decline in the national unemployment rate to 9.4% for 2023, a one-point decrease compared to the prior year. This achievement surpasses the government's target of 10.1% outlined in their Medium-Term Programme and marks the lowest unemployment level recorded in the past decade.

Taking to social media, Işıkhan emphasized the significant rise in employed individuals, with 880,000 people joining the workforce, pushing the total number to 31.6 million.

The Minister vowed the government's resolve to maintain this progress. He committed to the continuation of existing policies aimed at stimulating job creation and further reducing unemployment rates across Turkey.

These remarks highlight the Turkish government's unwavering efforts to address economic challenges and foster a robust labor market. (ILKHA)
