Nearly 120,000 Muslim worshipers pray at Al-Aqsa Mosque despite israeli restrictions
Thousands of Muslim worshipers defied Israeli restrictions to perform Friday prayers at the Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem.
The Islamic Waqf Department reported nearly 120,000 worshippers attended the service, the second Friday prayer of Ramadan.
Zionist authorities imposed strict limitations on Palestinians from the West Bank entering Jerusalem, citing permit requirements. This resulted in lighter than usual traffic at checkpoints compared to past years.
In his sermon, Sheikh Khaled Abu Jum'a, the preacher of Al-Aqsa, emphasized the Palestinian people's resolve to defend their land and Islamic holy sites. (ILKHA)
