6.1 earthquake strikes off the coast of Java, Indonesia
An earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale struck Indonesia on Friday, according to the country's geophysics agency, BMKG.
The quake's epicenter was located in the sea, approximately 132 kilometers (82 miles) northeast of Tuban on the island of Java. BMKG reported the depth of the earthquake at 10 kilometers (6.21 miles).
Fortunately, no immediate reports of damage or casualties have emerged. (ILKHA)
