The group released a statement vowing to continue assaults against "enemies' strongholds" in support of Palestinians and in retaliation for Israeli actions in Gaza. This purported attack marks the latest escalation in a series of strikes claimed by the Islamic Resistance in Iraq against Israel in recent weeks.

The group further stated that this act kicks off the "second phase" of its operations, which reportedly includes blockading Israeli maritime navigation in the Mediterranean Sea and disrupting Israeli port operations.

In recent weeks, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq has intensified its attacks on Israeli targets within occupied Palestinian territory, demonstrating its determination to challenge Israeli occupation.

On Wednesday, the Resistance reported an attack on Ben Gurion Airport, located deep within Israeli territory, using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for the second time in a week.

Earlier in the week, the Resistance targeted an Israeli UAV airbase in the occupied Syrian Golan Heights using drones, signaling a continuation and intensification of operations during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

These actions align with a previous statement made by Akram al-Kaabi, leader of a faction within the Islamic Resistance in Iraq. Kaabi declared the group's commitment to expelling US forces from Iraq and maintaining pressure on Israel through attacks on occupied Palestinian territories. (ILKHA)
