Turkish Central Bank to announce interest rate decision today
The Turkish Central Bank (CBRT) will hold its third Monetary Policy Committee meeting of the year today, chaired by Governor Fatih Karahan.
All eyes are on the committee's decision regarding interest rates, which will be announced at 2:00 PM local time (11:00 GMT) following the meeting.
At the last meeting, the Bank opted to hold the rate steady at 45%. Economists generally anticipate the same outcome today, with forecasts placing the year-end policy rate at 45%.
