Recalling the devastating events of March 16, 1988, when 5,000 individuals fell victim to the genocidal campaign orchestrated by Baathist Saddam Hussein against the Kurdish population, HÜDA PAR emphasizes that the passage of time has not dulled the memory of this heinous act.

In their statement, HÜDA PAR underscores the striking resemblance between the Halabja Massacre and the ongoing atrocities in Gaza, asserting that both instances represent brutal assaults on Muslim communities. While Saddam Hussein may have pulled the trigger in Halabja, HÜDA PAR alleges that the ultimate responsibility, including the provision of chemical weapons, lies with the United States and Europe.

"Thirty-six years have elapsed since the merciless slaughter of 5,000 Muslim Kurdish brethren in Halabja," the statement reads. "Yet, we refuse to forget this tragedy, nor will we allow it to fade from memory."

The statement concludes with a solemn vow to honor the memory of the martyrs of Halabja, expressing heartfelt condolences and remembrance for those who perished in the massacre. (ILKHA)
