The appeal comes amidst escalating tensions in occupied Palestine, with Hamas urging active participation in breaking the Israeli siege imposed on Al-Aqsa, emphasizing the right of Palestinians to pray and gather within its courtyards.

In a statement, Hamas underscored the ongoing struggle against the Israeli occupation, particularly in Gaza, which it referred to as the birthplace of the "glorious Al-Aqsa Flood." The movement urged Palestinians to actively engage in defending and praying at Al-Aqsa, amidst the continuous battle against the occupiers.

Furthermore, Hamas reiterated its stance on the exclusive right of the people of occupied Palestine to perform their prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The call for defense and solidarity follows Israeli occupation forces' restrictions imposed at the beginning of Ramadan, limiting access to the mosque and obstructing passage through checkpoints. Despite these restrictions, Palestinians managed to gather for Taraweeh prayers on the first night of Ramadan.

Reports from the Quds News Network indicate that Israeli forces have begun erecting steel barriers at the entrances of Al-Aqsa Mosque, a move likely to further escalate tensions in the region.

The situation underscores the ongoing struggle for access and freedom of worship at one of Islam's holiest sites, amidst heightened tensions and israeli occupation policies. (ILKHA)
