5.4 magnitude earthquake strikes Montenegro
A moderate earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale struck early this morning, 21 kilometers southwest of Plužine, Montenegro.
The quake, which occurred at 4:06 am local time, had a shallow depth of just 7.6 kilometers, causing it to be felt over a wide area.
Due to the shallow depth, the earthquake was likely more intense near the epicenter than a deeper tremor of similar magnitude.
However, authorities report no significant damage or impact from the quake. (ILKHA)
