Erdogan urges cultural preservation at arts center inauguration
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech at the inauguration ceremony of the Sebilürreşad Culture and Arts Center in Ankara.
During his address, President Erdoğan extended Ramadan greetings to the attendees and commemorated the 103rd anniversary of the adoption of the Independence March, Türkiye's national anthem. He paid tribute to Mehmet Akif Ersoy, the poet of the Independence March, emphasizing its significance as a manifestation of Türkiye's strong will for independence.
Erdoğan emphasized the importance of preserving the spirit of nations, stating, "With the understanding that nations that lose their spirit will be nothing more than a corpse, we have an obligation to support every effort aimed at getting to the heart of our civilization, history, and culture." He further stressed the significance of making a meaningful impact in history by engaging in sincere efforts and dedicating oneself to the cause.
"Leaving your mark in history means taking on an uphill struggle into which you shall put your heart and soul. You cannot see anyone who makes history by only criticizing others without taking any action," Erdoğan concluded. (ILKHA)
