Palestinian Scholars Council urges increased support for Gaza during Ramadan
Nawaf Takruri, the head of the Council of Palestinian Scholars Abroad, has called for enhanced assistance to Gaza during the holy month of Ramadan, stressing the importance of charity and solidarity with those defending the dignity of the Muslim Ummah.
In remarks to Ilke News Agency, Takruri appealed to the international community, particularly the people of Türkiye, for greater support for Gaza.
Addressing Turkish citizens, Takruri expressed gratitude for their previous contributions but emphasized that more assistance is needed to address the dire situation in Gaza.
"As we enter Ramadan, the month of generosity and charity," Takruri remarked, "it is imperative that we do not allow our brothers and sisters in Gaza to suffer from hunger. The Turkish people have always shown compassion, and I believe they will continue to provide support to the people of Gaza."
Takruri also condemned false propaganda circulated by the zionist regime's intelligence agency MOSSAD, which aims to undermine aid efforts to Gaza. He urged donors to increase their contributions, emphasizing that the current aid levels are insufficient to meet the needs of the people.
In conclusion, Takruri cited verse 38 of Surah Muhammad from the Quran, emphasizing the importance of generosity and selflessness in serving the cause of Allah.
"(O believers!) You are called upon to spend in the cause of Allah, yet among you are some who are niggardly. But whoever is niggardly harms only himself. For Allah is Self-Sufficient, whereas it is you who are in need. If you turn away from the truth, He will replace you with another people who will not be like you." (ILKHA)
