Yemen launches drone and missile attacks on US ships in Red Sea and Gulf of Aden

Brigadier General Yahya Saree, spokesperson for the Armed Forces, disclosed that the first operation targeted the US Propel Fortune bulk carrier in the Gulf of Aden using naval missiles. This operation was executed by Yemen's Navy.

The second operation involved 37 drones attacking US warships in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden. Saree reiterated that these operations were conducted in support of Gaza and in response to aggressions by the United States and the UK against Yemen.

"The two operations achieved their objectives successfully," stated Saree in a video address.

The General also commended the "great Yemeni people" for their Friday marches across governorates and districts in solidarity with the Palestinian people.

Saree concluded his statement by reaffirming that Yemeni operations would continue until the Israeli aggression on Gaza ceases and the blockade on the Palestinian people is lifted.

The Yemeni Armed Forces have intensified their operations amidst the ongoing Israeli violence in Gaza, which has resulted in the deaths of nearly 31,000 Palestinians, with over 72% being children and women. The blockade imposed on Gaza continues to exacerbate the humanitarian crisis, leading to deaths from malnutrition and dehydration, particularly among children.
