In a stark revelation, the Government Media Office (GMO) has disclosed the devastating impact of Israel's aggressive actions on Palestinian women in Gaza, with over 8,900 women killed, more than 23,000 wounded, and 2,100 still missing.

Issuing a statement on International Women's Day, the GMO underscored the ongoing plight faced by Palestinian women, condemning Israel's brutal attacks and criticizing the international community for its perceived inaction.

According to the GMO, the conflict has forcibly displaced over half a million Palestinian women, leaving them vulnerable to severe hardships and deprivation of basic necessities such as food and medicine.

The statement further highlighted the dire situation for approximately 60,000 pregnant women in Gaza, who lack access to essential healthcare and medical supplies, leading to tragic outcomes including the loss of newborns and unborn children due to the ongoing violence.

Addressing the treatment of female Palestinian detainees, the GMO condemned the physical and psychological torture they endure at the hands of Israeli authorities.

Despite the immense challenges, the GMO praised the resilience of Palestinian women, emphasizing their determination to defend their rights and livelihoods amidst the ongoing crisis.

However, the GMO placed blame on the United States, the international community, and relevant organizations for their perceived failure to address the crisis adequately. It called for immediate action to end the Israeli occupation and protect Palestinian women from further harm.

The statement urged all nations and international bodies to intervene decisively to halt Israeli aggression and ensure the safety and well-being of Palestinian women, who continue to suffer from violence, arrest, humiliation, and displacement. (ILKHA)
