Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas arrives in Türkiye for official visit
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas landed in Türkiye on Tuesday for a three-day official visit, aiming to bolster ties between the two nations.
Upon his arrival at the airport, President Abbas was warmly received by several Turkish officials, Arab ambassadors accredited to Türkiye, and the staff of the Embassy of the State of Palestine.
During his visit, President Abbas is scheduled to hold meetings with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and other high-ranking Turkish officials.
Accompanying President Abbas are key Palestinian figures, including Hussein al-Sheikh, the Secretary General of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), Majdi Al-Khalidi, Advisor to the President for Diplomatic Affairs, as well as the president's son, Yasser Abbas, and the Palestinian Ambassador to Turkey, Faed Mustafa.
