Magnitude 4.4 earthquake strikes southern Türkiye
A magnitude 4.4 earthquake rattled the Elbistan district in southern Kahramanmaraş province of Turkey on Monday.
The earthquake occurred at 11:26 local time, with a depth of 7 kilometers. The Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency reported that its epicenter was located at 38.20889 degrees north latitude and 37.40806 degrees east longitude.
This seismic activity follows more than a year after the region endured a devastating magnitude 7.8 earthquake.
