Islamic Emirate dismisses UN report on Afghan human rights, cites improved security
Zabiullah Mujahid, spokesperson for the Islamic Emirate, has vehemently rejected a report issued by the United Nations Special Rapporteur, Richard Bennett, regarding the state of human rights in Afghanistan.
In a statement posted on social media, Mujahid labeled the report as “misinformation” and accused it of being part of a “campaign” against the Taliban. He went on to assert that Afghan citizens, irrespective of gender, now enjoy “significantly higher levels of physical, financial, and mental security” compared to previous years.
The spokesperson further noted that all Afghans continue to exercise their legal rights and experience comprehensive safety, with “no instances of rights violation reported.” (ILKHA)
