Death toll rises in Gaza as israeli airstrikes target residential areas
Dozens of Palestinian civilians have lost their lives and many others have been injured in a relentless wave of israeli airstrikes and artillery shelling across various areas in the Gaza Strip.
In Rafah, located in southern Gaza, a child was among the casualties as israeli fighter jets targeted the Abu Ghali family's residence in the Yibna refugee camp. The province, now a refuge for hundreds of thousands displaced by the ongoing conflict, bears witness to the grim toll of the violence.
Further north, in the province of North Gaza, the Shabat family home in Beit Hanoun was bombed by Israeli warplanes, resulting in additional fatalities and injuries among Palestinian civilians.
In Beit Lahia and the neighborhoods of Sheikh Zayed and Jabalia camp in the north, a series of Israeli airstrikes rocked the area, adding to the mounting devastation.
Meanwhile, in central Gaza's Maghraqa village, a Palestinian man fell victim to an Israeli drone attack, further escalating tensions in the region.
Earlier in the day, two Palestinians were killed in Khan Yunis, south of Gaza, as israeli airstrikes targeted both a vehicle and a group of civilians near Hamad City. Additionally, residential houses in the al-Mashrou area west of Khan Yunis were destroyed by the Israeli occupation army.
In a simultaneous assault, israeli artillery shelling struck the eastern area of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza, leaving several people injured amidst the ongoing barrage of violence. (ILKHA)
