Speaking at the weekly Cabinet session in Ramallah, Shtayyeh highlighted the unprecedented aggression against Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank, including Jerusalem. He emphasized the Israeli occupation's efforts to undermine Palestinian sovereignty, impose financial restrictions, and annex Palestinian lands.

Shtayyeh outlined the government's efforts to address these challenges, including providing essential services to Palestinians while confronting israeli aggression and settlement expansion. However, he stressed the need for new political arrangements to address the evolving reality in Gaza and achieve inter-Palestinian consensus.

The Prime Minister expressed gratitude to President Abbas for his support and to his ministerial colleagues for their dedication amidst challenging circumstances. He also thanked political partners for their contributions to the government's work over the past five years.

Shtayyeh's resignation comes amid heightened tensions in the region and calls for renewed efforts to advance Palestinian unity and sovereignty over the entire land of Palestine. (ILKHA)
