3.9 magnitude earthquake strikes Aegean Sea near Izmir, Türkiye
An earthquake measuring 3.9 on the Richter scale rattled the Aegean Sea, just off the coast of the Menderes district in Türkiye's western Izmir province, according to the country's Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency.
The seismic activity occurred at approximately 20:09 TSI, with its epicenter pinpointed at a latitude of 37.98028 degrees north and a longitude of 27.15056 degrees east. The earthquake struck at a depth of 7.77 kilometers.
Residents in the affected area reported feeling the tremors but stated that no significant damage occurred.
