Dozens killed in renewed israeli strikes on Gaza as genocide enters 142nd day
The ongoing israel’s genocide in Gaza showed no signs of abating on Sunday, as renewed israeli airstrikes and artillery shelling reportedly killed and injured dozens of Palestinian civilians in various parts of the enclave.
Local sources have confirmed several Palestinian civilian deaths due to Israeli artillery shelling in the western areas of Khan Yunis and the Sabra neighborhood in Gaza City. In the Shaaf area east of Gaza City, a Palestinian was killed and others injured in an israeli airstrike on a residential home. The attack coincided with Israeli drone strikes on eastern neighborhoods, accompanied by artillery shelling.
Explosions rocked the Zaytoun neighborhood south of Gaza City as Israeli tanks resumed ground operations after a partial withdrawal. In Beit Lahia, northern Gaza, casualties were reported following Israeli shelling on a residential house, with individuals still trapped under the rubble.
Yesterday evening, two Palestinians lost their lives and four others were injured in an Israeli shelling of the Al-Shati refugee camp west of Gaza City. The Ministry of Health reported eight massacres within the past 24 hours, resulting in 92 fatalities and 123 injuries among Palestinian civilians.
The Ministry of Health's preliminary tally indicates a staggering toll since the beginning of the israeli aggression on Gaza on October 7th, with at least 29,606 Palestinians killed and 69,737 injured, the majority of whom are women and children. International condemnation of the violence persists, with urgent calls for an immediate cessation of hostilities to prevent further loss of innocent lives and alleviate the humanitarian crisis gripping Gaza.
