According to the statement, the document in question, titled "February 21, 2024, Framework Agreement for Defence and Economic Cooperation between the Republic of Türkiye and the Federal Republic of Somalia," is deemed fake.

"The alleged document, bearing the title 'February 21, 2024,' falsely claims to be a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye. However, it has been determined that this document is not genuine," the statement clarified.

The statement highlighted discrepancies between the fake document and official communications, noting that the latest statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is numbered 33, while the purported document is numbered 34. Additionally, references to a "statement of the Ministry of National Defence of the Republic of Türkiye" within the posts were declared baseless.

"The contents of the fabricated document, featuring the logo and colors of our Ministry of Foreign Affairs, do not originate from our Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the Ministry of National Defence. It is imperative not to lend credibility to manipulative disinformation efforts that impersonate official institutions," the statement emphasized.

The emergence of this fake document underscores the growing challenge of online disinformation. Malicious actors frequently exploit social media platforms to spread fabricated content, often mimicking legitimate sources to mislead the public and potentially disrupt international relations.
