He dismissed criticism as "unfounded" and asserted that Afghanistan is secure, peaceful, and respecting the rights of all citizens.

Mujahid took to his official social media platform to directly address the concerns expressed by 12 European countries at the conference. He stated that Afghanistan is "secure and at peace" after years of conflict, and the rights of all Afghans, including women, are being upheld. He emphasized that the country no longer poses any threat to international security and highlighted efforts to combat drug cultivation and trafficking.

Mujahid painted a positive picture of Afghanistan's current state, citing economic progress, a stable currency, and ongoing development projects in healthcare, education, and infrastructure. He assured citizens of their security and access to justice through the court system.

The spokesperson expressed strong objection to what he called the "distorted image" of Afghanistan being presented internationally. He attributed concerns to a lack of information or the spread of "propaganda" by "malicious circles." He asserted that Afghanistan's progress will not be deterred by such efforts.

Mujahid's statement stands in stark contrast to the concerns raised by European nations at the Munich conference. They expressed disappointment that the human rights situation in Afghanistan has not improved significantly since the Islamic Emirate takeover in 2021. (ILKHA)
