UNRWA warns of impending famine in northern Gaza Strip amid ongoing israeli attacks
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) issued a dire warning, stating that the population residing in the northern Gaza Strip is teetering on the edge of famine.

The announcement was made via a post on the UNRWA account on the X platform, highlighting the grave humanitarian crisis unfolding in the region.
According to UNRWA, the israeli army has been relentlessly conducting intensive attacks on the city of Khan Yunis, located in the southern part of the Gaza Strip. As a result of the escalating violence, thousands of Gazans have been forced to flee from the northern regions, seeking refuge in the city of Rafah, situated in the southern part of the Strip, which is home to approximately 1.4 million people.
Expressing deep concern for the residents of the northern areas of the Gaza Strip, UNRWA emphasized that these individuals are on the brink of famine and are facing dire circumstances with nowhere else to turn. (ILKHA)
