Diaa Rashwan, chairman of Egypt's State Information Service (SIS), issued a statement categorically denying reports circulated by some international media outlets regarding Egypt's alleged preparations for building shelters along the Gaza border.

Rashwan emphasized Egypt's rejection of any forced or voluntary displacement of Palestinians from Gaza to Egyptian territories, citing concerns over the implications for the Palestinian cause and Egypt's sovereignty and national security.

"The displacement of Palestinians from Gaza constitutes a grave threat to the Palestinian issue and poses a direct challenge to Egyptian sovereignty," Rashwan declared, reaffirming Egypt's commitment to addressing such developments promptly and effectively.

Addressing reports of a separation wall being erected along the Gaza border, Rashwan clarified that Egypt had existing buffer zones and fences in the region long before the current crisis erupted in Gaza. (ILKHA)
