Speaking at the Key Handover Ceremony, Erdogan acknowledged the challenges facing Türkiye, including the impact of the February 6, 2023 earthquake that affected 14 million people and caused widespread destruction across 11 cities. However, he emphasized the nation's resilience and ongoing recovery efforts.

"Despite the many challenges it is facing, Türkiye is carrying out the biggest construction, rejuvenation and development mobilization," Erdogan declared.

He contrasted Türkiye's response to the earthquake with the struggles of "even the most developed countries" in similar situations. "We know how desperate they become," he said.

Erdogan also addressed ongoing security concerns, highlighting attempts to "steer our country, disturb our society and manipulate the politics through terrorist organizations." He warned of increased "terrorist acts, provocations and traps" but vowed Turkish resolve: "There is something that those who have set up this game do not know, which is Türkiye is not the old Türkiye any more."

The handover ceremony marks a significant step in Türkiye's post-earthquake reconstruction process. While challenges remain, Erdogan's message emphasizes the government's commitment to a swift and comprehensive recovery. (ILKHA)
