According to the Deputy Prime Minister's Office, discussions during the meeting revolved around Afghanistan's international relations and the Islamic Emirate's cooperation with the UN. The UN Special Coordinator, Feridun Sinirlioğlu, expressed gratitude for the Islamic Emirate's collaboration and highlighted efforts to expand Afghanistan's global connections.

Sinirlioğlu praised the recent regional conference held by the Islamic Emirate in Kabul, emphasizing its significance for Afghanistan's engagement with the international community. He assured that positive decisions regarding Afghanistan's future will be made during the forthcoming Doha conference, aimed at enhancing the country's global relations.

Addressing concerns about security and stability, Sinirlioğlu stressed the importance of adherence to international laws and conventions by the Islamic Emirate. He also mentioned the World Bank's upcoming session to discuss banking growth and the resumption of projects in Afghanistan.

In response, Mawlavi Abdul Kabir expressed appreciation for the UN's support but disagreed with the proposal for a new UN representative, citing the presence of the UN political representation (UNAMA) already in Afghanistan. Kabir affirmed the Islamic Emirate's commitment to maintaining good relations with the world and expressed readiness to participate in the Doha conference.

Kabir welcomed the resumption of World Bank projects in Afghanistan and hoped for constructive outcomes in the Doha conference, including humanitarian aid and the removal of banking system sanctions, to aid Afghanistan's reconstruction efforts. (ILKHA)
