Turkish coast guard rescues 22, apprehends 39 irregular migrants in Bodrum
The Turkish Coast Guard apprehended 39 individuals attempting irregular migration to the Greek islands from Bodrum district, Muğla province, on Tuesday.
Separately, Coast Guard teams rescued 22 migrants from a rubber boat experiencing engine failure. Upon receiving information about the distressed vessel, they intervened and brought all occupants safely to shore.
Both groups, identified as irregular migrants, were handed over to the Provincial Directorate of Migration Management for further processing. (ILKHA)
