Türkiye sends rescue teams to Libya following hurricane disaster

The Ministry of National Defense announced on Tuesday that two teams from AFAD have left Mürted Airport in Ankara for Libya, in response to a massive flood caused by heavy rain that killed 2,000 people in the city of Derna.

The search and rescue, engineering, and logistics experts are expected to arrive in Libya later today. They will work with local authorities to assist those affected by the disaster.

The Turkish government, as stated by the Ministry of National Defense, is committed to supporting the people of Libya during this difficult time. (ILKHA)
