Yerlikaya shared the news on his social media accounts, highlighting the coordinated efforts that led to the arrests. The operation, codenamed "Cage-35," targeted individuals suspected of affiliation with the Islamic State (ISIS) group.

Significantly, 34 of the detained individuals were foreign nationals sought by Interpol through Red Notices and Diffusion Messages. These international mechanisms facilitate cooperation in apprehending wanted criminals.

The operation spanned seven provinces, with arrests concentrated in Istanbul (13), Kocaeli (9), and Yalova (8). Authorities also confiscated unlicensed pistols, substantial foreign currency, and digital materials during searches conducted alongside the arrests.

This operation demonstrates Türkiye's ongoing efforts to combat terrorism and counter ISIS activities within its borders. The apprehension of individuals potentially linked to international networks underscores the importance of cooperation and vigilance in tackling such threats. (ILKHA)
