In a two-day consultative meeting held in Ankara, representatives of nearly 2,000 non-governmental organizations (NGOs) operating across Türkiye, under the banner of Anatolian Civil Society Organizations, called for urgent action against the ongoing israeli atrocities in Gaza.
Adem Ceylan, representing Anatolian Non-Governmental Organizations, conveyed their concerns, stating: "The greatest cruelty and massacre of the century has been carried out by the terrorist Israeli regime in Gaza for about 4 months."
The NGO representatives demanded the following steps from the government and public opinion:
1. Immediate action to remove obstacles to the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza, mobilizing international institutions.
2. Utilization of all political and diplomatic channels to secure an immediate ceasefire and the complete withdrawal of Israel from Gaza.
3. Prompt intervention by the Republic of Turkey in the genocide case filed by the Republic of South Africa against Israel at the International Court of Justice.
4. Designating israel as a terrorist and occupation regime on all platforms.
5. Cancellation of all political, military, economic, and commercial agreements with Israel, closure of American bases in Adana İncirlik and Malatya Kürecik, and termination of all commercial activities to Israel.
6. Stripping Turkish citizens serving in the israeli army of their citizenship.
7. Continuation of the boycott against israel as a weapon to undermine its economic power.
The NGO representatives emphasized the need for national and international support campaigns for Palestine, urging all of humanity to take responsibility to halt the ongoing genocide in Gaza. (ILKHA)
