Protests resonated in key cities like Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, Valladolid, Leon, Bilbao, and Logroño, answering the call of over 187 associations and civil organizations throughout Spain.

In Madrid, protesters passionately voiced slogans such as "Boycott Israel," "Not a war, but genocide," "Netanyahu is a criminal," and "Free Palestine," waving Palestinian flags to express solidarity.

A collective statement from the demonstrators outlined key demands, including an urgent and lasting ceasefire in Gaza, the withdrawal of occupation forces, an end to Israeli genocidal acts against Palestinians, and the lifting of the Gaza blockade.

The statement urged governments globally to cease arms trade with Israel and impose sanctions on the Israeli government. It underscored the Spanish government's responsibility to sever political, diplomatic, economic, cultural, and sports ties with Israel.

The demonstrators highlighted the plight of the Palestinian people, characterizing them as "colonized victims of ethnic cleansing and a system of apartheid."

Similar sentiments echoed in protests across other Spanish cities, with participants urging an immediate end to the violence in Gaza and accountability for Israeli officials implicated in war crimes against Gaza civilians. (ILKHA)
