Simultaneously, the death toll from a strike on a crowded shelter in Gaza has climbed to 12, with more than 75 people wounded, according to Thomas White, a senior official with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA).

The agency did not directly attribute blame to israel, the sole party in the conflict equipped with tanks.

The ongoing israeli attacks in Khan Younis has left its two main hospitals isolated, trapping hundreds of patients and thousands of displaced individuals.

Overnight, a third hospital was evacuated, as reported by White. Fleeing the dire situation, thousands have sought refuge farther south, crowding into shelters and tent camps near the Egyptian border.

According to Gaza's Health Ministry, the toll of casualties in the enclave has surpassed 25,700, with over 63,000 wounded since the Oct. 7. (ILKHA)
