This latest development further escalates tensions on the Korean Peninsula and raises concerns about the regime's growing military capabilities.

According to the state-run Korean Central News Agency, the test had no adverse impact on the security of neighboring countries and is unrelated to the region's current situation.

The General Missile Bureau of North Korea asserted that the "Bulhwasal-3-31" represents a continual and progressive development in their weapons system.

This announcement follows reports from the South Korean military on Wednesday, revealing that North Korea had launched several cruise missiles toward the Yellow Sea.

The recent missile tests add to a series of military activities by North Korea. Last week, the country announced a successful test of an underwater nuclear weapons system, citing it as a response to joint military exercises conducted by the United States, South Korea, and Japan.

The international community has expressed concern over North Korea's missile tests. The United Nations Security Council has condemned North Korea's missile launches and imposed sanctions on the country.

The United States, Japan, and South Korea have also condemned the missile tests and called for North Korea to cease its missile program. (ILKHA)
