The Russian Foreign Ministry, in a statement, emphasized the significance of this action, stating it "confirms that a special positive potential exists for interaction between states" particularly through regional organizations supporting Afghanistan's recovery. They further committed to continued "free assistance to the people of Afghanistan."

This shipment comes at a crucial time when Afghanistan faces an ongoing humanitarian crisis compounded by the earthquake's devastation. Millions remain displaced and in need of basic necessities like food, shelter, and medical care.

The Russian aid represents a fraction of the international assistance efforts currently underway. The United Nations and numerous countries have pledged various forms of support to help Afghanistan rebuild and cope with the ongoing humanitarian crisis. (ILKHA)
