Addressing a news conference held on Saturday evening in Beirut, Hamdan called on Washington and London to give up their colonial policies and prove this through respecting the sovereignty of other countries and the interests of the Arab and Muslim peoples.
“Al the countries of the world that have become fed up to the back teeth with these aggressive policies will not stand idly by watching our Palestinian people being exposed to brutal Zionist crimes and a genocidal war,” Hamdan told journalists.
Hamdan affirmed that the israeli leaders did not achieve any of their aggressive goals against the Palestinians and their resistance in Gaza despite their genocidal crimes that claimed the lives of more than 30,000 civilians, mostly women and children.
“The Nazi enemy did not succeed in breaking the will and steadfastness of our great people who are deeply rooted in their land, and it failed to undermine the fortitude and determination of al-Qassam Brigades, al-Quds Brigades and the Palestinian resistance men, who have written an epic of heroism, glory and pride for our people and our Ummah,” Hamdan said.
“This enemy suffered a strategic loss on October 7, and successive failures have been haunting it since then as it persists in its aggression against the Gaza Strip,” Hamdan added.
“The Palestinian people’s battle against the occupation and colonialism did not begin on October 7, 2023; it started before that during 105 years of occupation, 30 years under British colonialism and 75 years of Zionist occupation,” the Hamas official underlined.
“Our people have suffered for decades from all forms of oppression, injustice, confiscation of basic rights, and apartheid policies. The Gaza Strip has suffered from a stifling siege that has continued for more than 17 years, turning it into the largest open-air prison in the world,” he said.
“The US and its Western allies have been dealing with the zionist entity since its emergence as a “state above law,” and they are still providing it with cover to continue its occupation, its annexation of more of our land, and its desecration and Judaization of our holy sites,” he added. (ILKHA)
