International "Freedom for Palestine" forum convenes in Istanbul

A major international forum in support of Palestinian freedom has begun in Istanbul, attracting prominent scholars, opinion leaders and politicians from around the world.

The "Freedom for Palestine" event, supported by numerous international institutions, promises two days of insightful discussions and calls to action to stop the ongoing israeli genocide in Gaza.

The forum boasts a diverse and distinguished lineup of speakers, including Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu, HÜDA PAR President Suat Yaşasın, ITTIHADUL ULEMA Vice-President Prof. Dr. Ali Muhyiddin Karadaghi, the President of the World Union of Scholars, Faed Mustafa, the Palestinian Ambassador to Ankara, Osama Hamdan, a leader of Hamas, Muhammad El Hindi, a leader of Palestinian Islamic Jihad, Mandella Mandella, the granddaughter of Nelson Mandela, and representatives of important organizations from many countries around the world.

During the forum, Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu congratulated Prof. Dr Ali Muhyiddin Karadaghi, who was recently elected president at the 6th General Assembly of the World Union of Muslim Scholars held in Qatar.

Ismail Haneyya, a leader of HAMAS, will also address the forum via teleconference. Several influential figures from the Arab and Islamic world are expected to speak on the Palestinian cause during the two-day event.

The forum, which is supported by the Al-Quds International Institution (QII), the Doha International Centre for Interfaith Dialogue (DICID), the Global Forum for Moderation, the International Union of Muslim Scholars, the Kuala Lumpur Centre for Thought and Civilizations, and the International Arab Centre for Communication and Solidarity, aims to address issues related to Palestine.
