The settlers entered the holy mosque through the Moroccan Gate and conducted provocative tours within its compounds, including performing Talmudic rituals.

The intrusion into the al-Aqsa Mosque compound by settlers, backed by Israeli security forces, has heightened existing tensions surrounding the third most revered site in Islam. The incursions are met with condemnation from Palestinian officials and religious authorities, viewing them as a direct challenge to the site's status quo and an affront to Muslim sentiments globally.

The Islamic Waqf, the Jordan-run authority responsible for the holy site, has consistently called for international intervention to prevent such incursions, which occur almost daily, excluding Fridays, the Muslim day of rest and worship.

Since 2003, Israeli occupation authorities have permitted settlers' access to the compound, contributing to ongoing disputes over the control and sanctity of the site. (ILKHA)
