According to the ministry’s statement, israeli drones have been relentlessly opening fire at the hospital’s sections and courtyards, endangering the lives of everyone who moves within its premises.

The situation has escalated to the point where the hospital is now at risk of being rendered nonfunctional. The ministry says that the Israeli army is deliberately seeking to put Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital out of service by intensively targeting it with drone attacks. As a result, patients and wounded civilians have been forced to evacuate, leaving them vulnerable to gunfire from the drones.

The gravity of the situation cannot be overstated. Thousands of wounded and sick individuals in central Gaza rely on this hospital for critical medical services. If the attacks persist and the hospital ceases to function, their lives will be in immediate jeopardy.

This disturbing incident is part of a broader pattern of aggression against Gaza’s medical facilities. Since October 7, 2023, the zionist army has systematically attacked hospitals and health centers, rendering many of them nonfunctional. Additionally, a staggering 121 ambulances have been destroyed during this period.

The international community must closely monitor this situation and take urgent action to protect civilians and medical infrastructure in Gaza. Lives hang in the balance, and the world cannot afford to remain silent. (ILKHA)
