He reiterated that the two-state solution remains the sole path to achieving security and stability for Israel, with 90% of UN member countries supporting this approach.
Borrell also addressed the situation along the Israeli-Lebanese border, emphasizing the importance of avoiding further escalation. He called for conducive conditions to foster a just and lasting peace in the region.
Upon his arrival in Beirut, Borrell expressed his support during these challenging times. "Important meetings will focus on assessing the impact of the Gaza war on Lebanon and the broader region," he stated.
