The ban applies to vessels en route to any Israeli dock and those flying the Israeli flag, citing the ongoing conflict in Gaza as the primary reason.

Ibrahim stated: "The Malaysian government has decided to bar and restrict Zim Integrated Shipping Services Ltd, which is a shipping company based in Israel, from docking in any Malaysian port."

He explained that the Cabinet had initially allowed ships from this company to dock in Malaysia from 2002, and in 2005, the Cabinet decided to continue permitting their docking.

However, considering the current situation in Palestine and the israeli aggression on Gaza, the current administration has decided to reverse the former government's decisions, implementing the docking ban on Zim Integrated Shipping Services Ltd. (ILKHA)
