The sit-in, organized by the Gökkuşağı Education, Culture and Solidarity Association, involved mothers and educators who aimed to support the Palestinian resistance fighters amid the escalating crisis.

The association has been organizing a bazaar in Adana for more than 35 days to raise funds for the Palestinian cause.

Following press statements in front of the Turkish Grand National Assembly and the US Embassy in Ankara, the activists planned to make a press statement at Presidential Complex and end their protest. However, they were prevented from making a statement by police intervention.

HÜDA PAR Secretary General and Gaziantep MP Şehzade Demir visited the activists in the sit-in. They told Demir about the unlawfulness they have faced. Demir stated that he would follow up on the issue.

The activists are demanding an end to the genocide in Palestine and justice for the Palestinian people. They are also calling on the Turkish government to do more to support the Palestinian cause. (ILKHA)
