According to the Ministry of Health in Gaza, the attack resulted in a devastating loss of life, with over 20 people reported dead and scores wounded.
The targeted school, Osama bin Zaid, was a shelter for displaced residents of the region. The death toll is anticipated to increase as authorities assess the full extent of the damage caused by the attack.
This attack on the school follows a series of Israeli strikes on hospitals in Gaza. Al-Shifa, Al-Quds, and the Indonesian hospitals were among those targeted. Additionally, a convoy of ambulances transporting injured Palestinians from Al-Shifa Hospital was bombed by Israeli forces.
The grim reality reveals a high toll of casualties inflicted by the Israeli offensive. Reportedly, over 9,227 Palestinians have been killed, comprising 3,826 children and 2,045 women. Moreover, more than 23,516 individuals have been wounded. The majority of those affected are reported to be women and children, according to reports from the Palestinian Ministry of Health and international organizations.
The situation in Gaza has been dire since 2007 due to an extensive Israeli military blockade. This restriction followed a democratic election in occupied Palestine, which faced rejection by Tel Aviv and Washington. (ILKHA)
