Save the Children, a UK-based humanitarian organization, expressed deep concern and horror at the devastation witnessed in the Jabalia refugee camp in the Gaza Strip.

The country director for Save the Children, Jason Lee, conveyed their shock at the destruction in the Jabalia refugee camp in Gaza. Lee emphasized the tragic impact on families, with numerous reports of casualties.

"We are horrified to see the destruction in Jabalia Refugee Camp in Gaza, killing and injuring even more families," stated Jason Lee.

Emphasizing the necessity to safeguard civilians, Lee added, "Civilians must be protected."

The Interior Ministry within the besieged enclave reported that a series of Israeli airstrikes on the refugee camp resulted in numerous casualties. The ministry highlighted that a majority of the victims were women and children, underlining the tragic toll on the most vulnerable in the community.

According to reports, Israeli warplanes destroyed the entire residential square within the camp, further escalating the humanitarian crisis.

Save the Children's statement underscores the urgent need to prioritize the protection of civilians and the immediate cessation of violence to prevent further tragedies in the region. (ILKHA)
