The aid convoy consisted of 14 trucks loaded with medical supplies, food, and water, and entered Gaza through the Rafah border crossing.

This was the second batch of aid sent by Egypt in coordination with the Palestinian leadership and other regional and international parties.

The first batch, which included 20 trucks, arrived on Saturday after intensive efforts by the Palestinian President and his Egyptian counterpart Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

However, the total number of aid trucks that reached Gaza so far is only 34, which is far below the actual needs of the besieged enclave.

Before the war, Gaza used to receive hundreds of trucks daily with various supplies to meet the needs of its two million population.

The war in Gaza, which started on October 9, has killed more than 4,650 Palestinians and wounded thousands more. It has also caused widespread destruction of homes, infrastructure, and public services. (ILKHA)
