In response to the heightened security situation, the State Department authorized the voluntary and temporary departure of family members of U.S. government personnel and certain non-emergency personnel from the U.S. Embassy in Beirut.

This decision reflects the unpredictable security conditions prevailing in Lebanon amid the tensions between Hezbollah and Israel.

The advisory update follows a recent israeli airstrike on a hospital in Gaza, resulting in the tragic loss of at least 500 civilians and causing numerous injuries.

The heinous attack has sparked widespread protests across the Middle East and around the globe. (ILKHA)
