Absentee funeral prayer held in Türkiye for Gaza hospital attack victims

On Tuesday, the zionist occupation regime launched a devastating assault on Gaza's Ahli Arab Hospital, killing at least 500 Palestinian civilians with majority being children and women. The attack prompted an outpouring of grief and solidarity with the Palestinian victims across the world.

Citizens gathered at Dergâh Mosque in Şanlıurfa's Balıklıgöl Settlement to offer their noon prayers. Following the prayer session, a sizable congregation convened to conduct an absentee funeral prayer for the Muslim martyrs who lost their lives in the zionist terrorist network's hospital assault.

Speaking to Ilke News Agency (ILKHA) after the prayer, attendees voiced their call for practical actions to address the ongoing crisis, emphasizing the inadequacy of mere condemnations.

Mahmut Şeker underscored the need for concerted efforts by authorities, states, and Islamic countries, including the formation of a coalition and the deployment of a peacekeeping force under the Islamic Union's banner, to counter Israel's actions.

Şeker also advocated boycotting Israeli goods and preventing their importation into Türkiye. He stressed the significance of individuals refraining from purchasing such products.

Hasan Aslan criticized the collective apathy of Muslims, contending that verbal condemnations without substantive actions enable israel to act with impunity. He urged Islamic countries to withdraw their embassies from zionist entity and take decisive measures to confront its actions.

The participants collectively expressed their belief that the Muslim world must transcend rhetoric and embark on tangible efforts to address the ongoing crisis in Palestine. (ILKHA)
